How long is the Australian ETA valid for?
An ETA is usually valid for a year from the day it is granted or until the traveler's passport expires, whichever comes first. This implies that tourists can enter Australia many times in a 12-month, provided each stay is no longer than three months.
For example, if a traveler receives an ETA on January 1, 2023, it will be valid until December 31, 2023, or until the expiration of the passenger's passport, whichever comes first. If the traveler's passport expires on June 30, 2023, the ETA will be valid until that date.
Because the ETA is not a work visa, visitors are not permitted to work in Australia while on an ETA. They are only permitted to participate in business-related activities such as attending meetings or conferences or visiting trade fairs or exhibits.
