I would like to work in Australia, what do I need to do?
You will require the proper visa if you want to work in Australia.
Those aged 18 to 35 can get a temporary Working Holiday visa (subclass 417), which permits them to travel and work in the nation for up to three years. To be eligible for your second and third years in Australia on this visa, you must fulfill specific eligibility requirements and have undertaken specified subclass 417 employment. This employment is commonly called 'farm' work, but it can range from fruit harvesting to tour guiding.
Once approved, you can undertake any type of employment, but only for six months with any one company. You must apply for this visa from your home country and provide proof that you will be able to support yourself throughout your stay.
For more permanent employment, you would need to apply for a Skilled Migration Visa. First, you must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect. Once you have submitted your EOI, you may be asked to apply for a Skilled Migration visa. You will then have 60 days to submit an application and nominate an occupation from the applicable skilled occupations list.
The sort of visa you apply for will be determined by your circumstances and the work you want to conduct. You may learn more at the Department of Home Affairs - Explore visa alternatives for working in Australia.
