What documents do Italian citizens need for Australia e-visa?
For Australian e-visa, Italian travelers can only apply for tourist and business e-visa. For other types of visa, travelers can apply at the Australian Embassy in Italy. Italian nationals may apply for two types of Australian ETA:
- The multiple-entry Australia Tourist ETA is valid for one year from the day it is awarded and allows Italian passport holders to remain in Australia for up to three months per visit.
- For business-related activities, an Australia Business ETA with multiple entries is given. It is valid for up to a year from the date of issuance and allows Italian passport holders to enter Australia for 90 days each time.
To qualify for an Australia e-visa, Italian citizens must meet the following criteria:
- Italian applicants must possess a valid Italian passport for at least six (06) months upon arrival in Australia. At least 02 blank pages for visa endorsement is necessary,
- Include the biographical page of the passport in the application.
- Attach a high-quality, color photograph of the applicant that showcases their face.
- Submit a fully completed e-visa application along with the required payment to cover processing fees.
- Provide a currently active email address for all e-visa-related correspondence.

Moreover, it is highly recommended for Italian travelers visiting Australia obtain travel insurance that covers medical expenses, although it is not currently obligatory.
