Can Hong Kong citizens work in Australia with an e-visa?
Holders of an Australian e-visa only allow visitors to take part in some business activities in the country, such as:
- Tourism, and vacation purposes.
- attend a business conference.
But visitors aren't allowed to engage in the following activities :
- Sell goods or services to the public
- Long-term working, or employment.
Australia e-visa holders are permitted to stay in the country for 90 days on each visit, and the e-visa is valid for up to a year from the date of issue. For a long-term working permit in Australia, citizens of Hong Kong must contact the nearest Australian Embassy in Hong Kong for the most accurate requirements.
