How does the Australian ETA work?

The ETA system, which provides authorization to travel to Australia and is electronically connected to your passport, was established in 1996. When you check in at the airport to travel to Australia, the check-in employees can electronically validate that you have authorization to board the flight. The ETA is used in place of a visa label or stamp in a passport, eliminating the necessity for application forms.
