7. Adelaide Zoo
The Zoo, one of Adelaide's top family attractions, is home to Australia's only giant pandas, Fu Ni and Wang Wang, which, let's face it, is incentive enough to come. (Trust us when we say they're adorable). If ogling cuddly, bamboo-eating beast is a bit too tame for you, check out the 'animal experiences' on offer, such as hand-feeding Sumatran tigers and African lions, giving Brutus the Hippo his daily mouth check, or enjoying breakfast with a Sun Bear. The Wild Nights package ($380 for two) is our favorite, as it allows you and a friend to spend the night glamping on-site in a comfy tent before waking up to breakfast with the Zoo's very cute red pandas and a guided tour of Fu Ni and Wang Wang's exhibit.

Victor Harbour is the largest and one of the most popular villages on this mountainous peninsula. From here, you may join a seasonal whale-watching cruise or fishing charter, surf one of the south coast swells, throw a line from one of the windswept beaches, or take a horse-drawn tram to Granite Island, home to a decreasing population of Little Penguins.
Goolwa, on the Murray River, is another attractive peninsula town, as are the inland villages of Strathalbyn and Mount Compass.
9. Cleland Wildlife Park
Wildlife never ceases to fascinate us, and zoos and wildlife parks are excellent Adelaide things to see the animal kingdom up close. The most excellent thing about Cleland Wildlife Park is that the animals are not kept in cages. Instead, they are confined in such a way that they do not feel trapped and are free to roam.
Also, this isn't your typical zoo where you just go to watch the animals. You may feed Kangaroos, pet Koalas, and even handle some reptiles here!
